Peerless-AV's Keith Dutch Captains MCC in July International Fixture at Lord's

Keith Dutch, Sales & Operations Director at AV technology pioneer Peerless-AV®, was invited to Captain an MCC side at Lord’s Cricket Ground versus Nepal on Tuesday 19th July 2016. The match was well attended with a crowd of over 5,000 people watching live inside Lord’s and was televised on Lord’s YouTube channel, which apparently had over 32,000 hits and some 10,000 people also watching the game Live.

The game was organised to celebrate 200 years of International Trade between the UK and Nepal, and was the first time the Nepalese team had ever played at Lord's.

An exciting game culminated in a win for Nepal with Dutch taking two key wickets and an outstanding century by George Adair for MCC.

A former first-class cricketer, Dutch played eight seasons at Middlesex Country Cricket Club and four at Somerset as an all-rounder.

Peerless-AV partners shortlisted for AV Awards 2016

The finalists for the 2016 AV Awards have been revealed and we’re pleased to see some of our partners have made it in the Company and Project categories. It’s great to see recognition for such innovative installations – and using our mounts as well!

Well done to Pioneer, shortlisted for ‘KFC goes digital with Pioneer Group’ in the Retail Project of the Year category. The company was tasked with developing digital menu boards for finger licking fast food chain KFC in 2011 and now monitors and maintains nearly 1,200 digital menus in over 240 stores UK wide – a figure that’s growing year on year. Pioneer chose Peerless-AV as the preferred mount supplier for the project, using the SFX650P Universal Flat Wall Mount for LG’s 42in and 47in flat panel displays. A customised version was also developed specifically to cater for the smaller size 32in screens in the KFC installation. The mounts were chosen for their flexible open wall plate design, ease of install and convenient vertical micro-adjustment for a seamless menu board appearance. Peerless-AV has demonstrated its ability to supply a premium mounting solution and deliver in large volumes, within tight time constraints.

Congratulations also to Electrosonic for making the shortlist with their project ‘Exhibitionism – The Rolling Stones’ in the Entertainment Venue of the Year category. Electrosonic provided AV systems integration for Exhibitionism - the first ever major exhibition by the Rolling Stones and the largest touring exhibition of its kind ever to be staged by any band or artist. Installed in just three weeks, nearly 70 screens, stunning projection and a powerful audio system help to depict the Stones’ 50 year and counting career in this unique and interactive experience. The exhibition is currently located at the Saatchi Gallery in London until 4 September 2016. It is then set to embark on a world tour of 11 cities over four years. Peerless-AV were pleased to be able to support the project with a number of projector mounts and wall mounts. Packed with innovative features designed to save time and costs on-site, the mounts are designed to enhance any professional AV installation and are manufactured to the highest levels of quality and safety for high traffic public environments such as this.

As sponsors of the AV Awards 2016 we look forward to celebrating with the finalists at the Shortlist Party and, of course, our team will be out in force at the 18th annual global AV Awards Ceremony on 30th September.
